As the US magazine Politico reported, after the ban on its devices on the US market, Huawei will now also severely restrict its business in Europe. The effects of the US embargo on the European market are too strong. The company is now burying its ambitions of becoming a global leader in the communications market and intends to concentrate on the Chinese market.
According to Politico, the focus in Europe will be on Germany, Spain and Hungary, the last countries that are still willing to cooperate. However, safety concerns are often expressed there as well.
However, Europe was never able to bring itself to a complete ban on Huawei. Now the company is anticipating such an action by withdrawing from its business activities. And announces somewhat sniffily: “Westerners were listened to. That’s no longer the case… Nobody listens,” says a Huawei employee working in Europe.
