A doctor reveals a dangerous habit that many people do at night, which causes tumors, heart disease, diabetes and pressure

Al-Marsad Newspaper: Dr. Stanislav Samborsky, a clinical psychologist, revealed that lack of sleep leads to increased arousal, which in turn causes anxiety, depression, poor mood and decreased performance.

He explained in an interview with Gazeta.Ru: “The human body rests at night and produces necessary biologically active substances and hormones that regulate the work of the endocrine glands, heart and blood vessels.

Samborsky warned that disrupted nighttime sleep increases the risk of high blood pressure and diabetes.

He pointed out that when the body performs properly before going to bed, the parasympathetic nervous system activates the absorption of nutrients, the restoration and building of tissues and cells.

He added, “If a person works at night, this physiological arrangement is disturbed, and the opposite sides of the autonomic nervous system are activated. As a result, jumps in the level of blood pressure begin, which can lead to stroke and myocardial infarction.”

In addition, sleep disturbance leads to an imbalance of dopamine, serotonin, and norepinephrine in the brain, which leads to depression and anxiety, as well as decreased attention and learning ability. Insomnia coupled with anxiety is the most obvious negative consequence of night work, he says.

The doctor noted that long sleepless nights threaten obesity. It increases the level of cholesterol in the blood and disrupts the normal uptake of glucose by cells.

And it is mentioned that the reason is due to the disorder of regulating appetite properly at night, as a result of improper production of melatonin, and insulin is not produced properly, which reduces the feeling of satiety and the person does not realize that he is overeating.

He continued: “Night work also increases the risk of developing tumors. The reason lies in the disruption of the level of melatonin, which is a natural antioxidant and plays an important role in reducing uncontrolled cell growth.”
