The Lakers were beaten by Indiana, following a 3-point shot at the buzzer by Andrew Nembhard. Phoenix and Boston, the two Conference leaders, however, won.

After winning their first two away victories, on the side of San Antonio, the Lakers hoped to confirm at home, receiving Indiana, surprising fourth in the Eastern Conference. But the Californians bowed to the buzzer! While they were leading 115-113, they saw Tyrese Haliburton (24pts, 14pds) find Andrew Nembhard (12pts) behind the 3-point line, and the Canadian rookie, who had already scored three long-range shots, did not miss the opportunity to give victory to his team, despite the desperate return of LeBron James (21pts, 7rbds) in defense. Before that, Anthony Davis’ Lakers (25pts, 13rbds, 6pds) had nevertheless generally dominated the match, and they even had a 17-point lead with 10 minutes remaining (101-84). But they collapsed and therefore remain penultimate in the Western Conference before receiving Portland.
