53-year-old actress, TV presenter and video blogger Yulia Menshova has been running the acting workshop at the country’s main cinematographic university – VGIK since the beginning of September. To share the leadership of the workshop, Yulia was asked by her mother – People’s Artist of Russia Vera Alentova.

– After the death of my father (director Vladimir Menshov. – E.F.), my mother alone headed the workshop. Students have just been recruited, and they need to be taught. Mom asked me to help her. The wonderful rector of VGIK, Vladimir Malyshev, documented my work. I brought to VGIK a work book that was lying at my place (the TV presenter left Channel One two years ago. – E.F.). Pedagogy fascinated. I even enjoy it. Despite the downright funny salary, – Yulia told the channel “OK in touch!”.
At one time, she graduated from the acting department of the Moscow Art Theater School, like her legendary parents, but has not yet played significant roles in the cinema. But her television career has developed more than successfully. And brought not only fame, but also decent money. Julia bought a luxurious mansion, which she furnished with designer furniture.
“I bought a big house outside the city,” Menshova confirmed. – You can say yes. But we call it home. For relax. Discovered the talent of a designer. I have a good taste.
But Yulia did not spare her fellow journalists on Channel One, who were much more experienced and deserved. The host of the channel “OK in touch!” I asked Menshova regarding the opinion of the interviewers, for example, regarding Vladimir Pozner, and she answered like this:
– In my opinion, Vladimir Pozner’s manner of conducting is outdated. Of course, he is an interesting person, but today they don’t talk like that. He is especially weak in the theater. His team also does not like the theater and does not understand it, and it shows.
Since February of this year, Yulia Menshova has been running her channel “Menshova herself” on YouTube. The name was explained only by the need for a scandal:
– Today without scandal – anywhere. The name “Menshova herself” is my little scandal,” Yulia said, not without irony.
