Books – Mahmoud Mustafa Abu Talib:

Sheikh Khaled Omran, Secretary of the Fatwa at the Egyptian Dar Al Iftaa, responded to what was recently raised that watching the World Cup matches is a waste of time and life.

Omran said, in statements to Masrawy, on Monday, that football is useful in getting to know different cultures, and it has different federations in all countries, and it is approved as a sports game that strengthens the mind and body.

And the Secretary of the Fatwa at the Egyptian Dar Al Iftaa stressed that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, his family, and his companions, practiced sports with his wife, Mrs. Aisha, and his companions, pointing out that football is a sports game, and sport is something considered in Islam.

He pointed out that no one has the right, whoever, to judge any of God’s creation that he is at the bottom of two bastards.

Dr. Younis Makhyoun, the former head of the Nour Party, the head of the party’s senate, said that a practice is a waste of time, life, and years, and it involves upsetting the scales, mixing concepts, and diverting people from what benefits them in both worlds.

He explained in a video on his official Facebook page that time is the capital of a Muslim, and wasted times and hours will be held accountable by a Muslim, and it is among the things that a Muslim will be asked regarding on the Day of Resurrection, indicating that there are many hours lost watching matches, and the first is that they be spent. In reading the Quran, or any other obedience.

He pointed out that there is no benefit from watching football matches, other than watching 22 men walking behind an inflatable ball, adding: “With our keenness to encourage everyone to practice with the aim of having a strong nation.”

He pointed out that watching football is a tipping point, by placing people who were supposed to be at the bottom of a bastard for his debauchery and deviation, in a higher position following encouraging them, such as Lionel Messi, who is hostile to the Islamic religion, and went before to the Western Wall in Jerusalem, and other players he takes. Some are role models, and they should not be.

He pointed out that Muslims have their love for God, His Messenger, and the believers, and watching football matches generates a state of hatred among people by encouraging each person to a different team, indicating that this matter affects something of the Muslim’s faith, which is “loyalty and innocence” that their love is for those who encourage them.

He continued, “We are not proud of an Arab country that organized the World Cup and spent billions of dollars on it. We hoped that the pride would be in other areas, such as the nuclear bomb, such as Iran.”
