The General Directorate of Professional Ordination of Ministry of Health has summoned the theoretical-practical tests for the recognition for professional purposes of titles
foreign specialists in Health Sciencesobtained in States that are not members of the European Union.
The order published in the Official State Gazette (BOE). signed by the general director of Professional Organization, Celia Gomezestablishes two groups for those summoned.
First group summoned
Those corresponding to annex I must be presented at the headquarters of the Ministry of Health (Paseo del Prado, 18-20), the Saturday February 4, 2023, and the test will begin at 9:00 a.m. These are (in brackets the number of candidates by specialty):
medical specialist in Anesthesiology and Resuscitation (65), in Digestive system (12); in Physical Education and Sports Medicine (2); in Family and Community Medicine (63); in Pediatrics and their specific areas (50); in Psychiatry (eleven); and in radiodiagnosis (15).
Also those called to recognize their degrees in Clinical psychology (1) y Obstetric-Gynecological Nursing -Mother- (16).
second group
Those in Annex II will take the two parts of the test at the Ministry of Health headquarters on Saturday March 18, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. These are:
Medical specialists in Pathological Anatomy (1); Angiology and Vascular Surgery (1); Cardiology (26); Cardiovascular Surgery (2); General Surgery and Digestive System (8); Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology (13); Pediatric Surgery (2); Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery; Thoracic Surgery (7); Medical-Surgical Dermatology and Venereology (15); Endocrinology and Nutrition (9); Geriatrics (2); Hematology and Hemotherapy (two); Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (4); Intensive Medicine (10); Internal Medicine (3); Nephrology (5); Pneumology (1); Neurosurgery (4); Clinical Neurophysiology (1); Neurology (5); Obstetrics and Gynecology (34); Ophthalmology (32); Medical Oncology (9); Radiation Oncology (4); Otorhinolaryngology (10); Hospital Radiophysics (1); and Urology (8).
Organization, content and grading of tests
It must be remembered that recently this same General Directorate of Professional Organization made public through the BOE the update of the common criteria on organization, content and qualification of the tests for the recognition of foreign titles specialized in Health Sciences, establishing that there will continue to be two procedures. The first of these will consist of 70 questions and five reserve questions (compared to the current 75 with five reserve questions) to which applicants must answer within a period of 90 minutes. That is, 30 less than those available up to now.
On the other hand, the Ministry of Health will simplify the questionnaire, so that there will only be four alternative answers compared to the five currently offered.
