The insurer Visana outsources a large part of its IT. The operation and maintenance of the Syrius central system, peripheral systems as well as the management of the workplace, the service desk and the Security Operation Center (SOC) will now be carried out by Inventx, reports the German-speaking site Inside-it.ch. As part of this outsourcing, around 40 Visana employees will move to the IT service provider.
The insurer explains to the specialized media that entrusting these services to Inventx gives Visana access to proven IT know-how in the financial industry and to cutting-edge technologies. Through this collaboration, the insurer wishes to transform its IT in order to be ready to meet future market requirements. For example, application services will in the future be available on a self-service and on-demand basis from the Inventx community cloud, and the operation of applications will be automated. The company aims to complete its transformation by mid-2024.
Visana nevertheless wishes to continue to carry out certain digitization tasks in-house. Particularly with regard to architecture, as well as the activities of Digital Business Marketing and its Development Center.
