According to the Department of Studies and Financial Forecasts (DEPF) under the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the value of exports in the phosphate and derivatives sector increased by +66.6% at the end of last September, instead of + 45.4% a year earlier.

For their part, sales of phosphate derivatives appreciated by 67% at the end of September 2022, benefiting from the continued increase in their international selling prices.

However, their exported volume fell by 17.1%, the result of the decline in the volume of fertilizers by 10.5%, and the volume of phosphoric acid by 33.9%, than for the month of September alone, fertilizer exports increased by 28.6% in volume and 96.2% in value.

As for foreign sales of crude phosphate, they strengthened, in value, by 63.1% at the end of September 2022, once morest a drop in volume of 43.7%.

At the end of the first half of 2022, the added value of the extractive sector, in volume, fell by 6.3%, following an increase of 1.2% a year earlier.
