A 22-year-old young man was detained by a commission from the Amazonas Homicide Investigation Hub, in Puerto Ayacucho, following allegedly being involved in the murder of a man, who died following receiving multiple wounds with a machete.
The 72-year-old victim would have refused to give money to the attacker, who planned to buy psychotropic and narcotic substances for his consumption.
After a discussion arose, the detainee “went to his stepfather’s room to ask him for money, to which he refused, in the middle of the discussion.”
The alleged murderer, faced with the refusal, looked for a machete and gave the man multiple blows to the head. He fell to the ground with no vital signs.
The director of the Criminal, Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps (Cicpc), Douglas Rico, reviewed it on Instagram, where he also noted that the event occurred in a house in the Sucre sector, in the state of Amazonas.
Investigations found the murder weapon and officials presented the case to the Public Ministry (MP).
