Al-Marsad Newspaper: A Qatari businessman invited a group of England World Cup fans to go to his palace for lunch following he saw one of them wearing a Wolverhampton Wanderers shirt.

To the surprise of Jassa and his friends, the businessman, known only as Omar, sent a car to pick them up from their hotel in Doha to meet him. According to the Daily Mail.

And the fans went to the mansion of the businessman, where he arranged a feast for lunch, including a plate of fruit in the shape of a soccer ball.

They were then given a tour of the palace and invited to take a dip in its pool before they all stayed to watch Japan’s shock 2-1 victory over Germany.

Jassa said: “He noticed my shirt and we started talking regarding football, Wolves, and Raul Jimenez said he is a Manchester United fan, then we received an invitation from him to go to his palace.”

He continued, “He was a kind and hospitable man. He started buying our food and drinks and did not allow us to pay, but he wanted to make us feel welcome in his homeland and hosted us in his palace.”
