England and USA were no better than zero in Jor: both still alive in search of the last 16 | qatar-2022

The selections of England and the United States did not go from zero this Friday in their second appearance in the World Cup in Qatar 2022, specifically in crossing Group B that was played at the Al Bayt Stadium in the town of Jor.

A result that does not ensure anything in the area, but that keeps both squads alive in the goal of reaching the round of 16.

With equality, Gareth Southgate’s men were in front with four units, with one advantage over Iran, second, while the North Americans appear in third place with two positives.

The ‘Three Lions’ started out dominating the game, but as the minutes passed, the Americans found spaces and thoroughly disturbed the world monarch in 1966.

The clearest chances to uneven were carried out by the combined stars and stripes. First, following 25 minutes, Weston McKennie appeared free between the penalty mark and the six-yard box, but his first-round shot went high.

Then, at 32′, captain Christian Pulisic received, made space and unleashed a powerful left foot that rocked the English crossbar.

Notable in the Europeans was a first-rate shot from Harry Kane (9′), who slightly deflected off a defender and the ball went wide by very little, and a shot from Mason Mount from outside the area that found a remarkable response from the goalkeeper Matt Turner.

In the complement the dynamics was lost and the chances were scarce. The clearest thing was for the Americans, with a shot by Weston McKennie, following a rebound, which went over the top (48′).

For the third day of Group B, on Tuesday, November 29 from 4:00 p.m. in Chile, England will face Wales and the United States will face Iran. A victory for both would leave them in the round of 16.
