The Windows Insider Program helps Microsoft refine Windows 11. The latest Preview build available offers a feature that Microsoft has already confirmed. It will soon be available to the general public.
The Parameters application is enriched with a new section allowing you to change or recycle your PC. This menu made its way to Windows 11 earlier this year but for some unknown reason was removed. The giant then clarified that he would reappear a little later. It seems that we are close to this appointment. Microsoft is ready to restore this section. Why ? The code to make it work is available in the latest Windows 11 Preview build rolled out to the Windows Insider program’s Dev channel.
To activate it, you must retrieve the Vivetool utility then use the identifier 39731733 to activate it. Once the operation is done, a restart of the PC is necessary for the changes to take effect.
Windows 11 et la section Trade-in or recycle your PC
These new entries are easy to modify. This allows a PC manufacturer to make changes by offering useful resources when a customer wants to buy a new computer. Basic Microsoft provides guidance on how to do this while recommending exchanges.
Redmond explains
Starting with Windows 11 22H2, the Settings app includes customizable links that you can configure to direct customers to device trade-in or recycling programs. Configuring these links is optional and only custom links will be displayed.
It will be interesting to wait for the official arrival of this section in a future Preview version to see if changes will be made. As for its “Consumer” rollout, Microsoft is likely to use a quality update but we don’t have a specific date yet.
In this regard, the giant is working on several improvements for Windows 11 so that they might be brought together in the expected “Moments 2” update scheduled for 2023. For example, Microsoft is preparing a new VPN icon and new suggested actions. Microsoft has been tight-lipped regarding all of this, but a new feature update is likely next year.
