After the role of Leszek in The Witch Doctor, actor Tomasz Stockinger was hit by a wave of popularity. And he got into the project by accident. Director Jerzy Hoffman hoped that Count Czyński would be played by actor Daniel Olbrychski, but he rejected his offer. Tomas was happy to get to work. Later, in an interview, he said that most of all on the set he liked kisses with the performer of the role of Marysia, which was embodied by Anna Dymna. Stockinger even fell in love with a beautiful actress, but she did not reciprocate.
The actor was not very upset, especially since following the premiere of the picture, all the attention of fans in different countries was riveted to him. He actively enjoyed success among the fans, now and then started romances with them. Tomasz was not going to take the fleeting relationship to a serious level. As a result, one of the fans even threatened to pour acid on him, assuring that she was expecting a child from him.
Stockinger did not stop even the official marriage and the appearance of the baby. A few months following the birth, the actor’s wife got tired of his endless betrayals and left.
