The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced that at the ‘2022 Korea Popular Culture and Arts Awards’ held on the 24th, it will award presidential citations and prime minister citations to pop culture artists who have been active in various fields, including director Park Chan-wook and the late actress Kang Su-yeon.

The ‘Korea Popular Culture and Arts Awards’ hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and supervised by the Korea Creative Content Agency have been awarded every year since 2010 to encourage those who have contributed to the development of the popular culture industry and the spread of the Korean Wave, while raising the social status of popular culture and arts.
