The Fika Productions development studio and the British company Team17 yesterday launched a brand new cooperative roguelite game designed to be played with two players. Ship of Fools will transport you to a marine universe with an interesting artistic direction to experience an adventure filled with action and monsters to fight. This game is particularly aimed at big fans of roguelite and cooperative games since you will have to work as a team to progress. You can play it together on the couch or online.

At the very last MEGAMIGS Festival, the game, which was not yet officially released, won several awards. Ship of Fools then left with the prizes for best audio and music, best direction and artistic realization as well as best game design. The game is now available for everyone on PC, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch and PS5 for $19.49.

Short summary of the game

Ship of Fools follows a disparate group of sailors aboard a ship sailing through perilous waters to battle dangerous, sometimes gigantic, sea creatures across the Archipelago. The goal of our brave little group is to counter the advancing Eternal Storm that is ravaging everything in its path. Life on the water is full of risks for sailors, especially since they are not all very bright. Working in collaboration is therefore necessary for their survival and to repel the waves of enemies. You’ll experience chaotic cannon firefights, paddle battles, the discovery of lost treasures, near-miss repairs that save the crew from sinking, and more in Ship of Fools.
