Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The Israeli Prime Minister-designate, Benjamin Netanyahu, published a video clip of a call he made with his Saudi “brother”, Muhammad Saud, following the Kingdom’s national team match with Argentina, on Tuesday.
Netanyahu posted the video clip on his official Twitter page with a comment in which he said: “I congratulated my brother Muhammad Saud on the amazing victory of Saudi Arabia today in the World Cup.”
For his part, Muhammad Saud re-posted the video clip of the call on his Twitter page, saying with a comment: “With God’s help, peace is near. I spoke with the next Prime Minister Netanyahu regarding the imminence of peace and the great victory over Argentina.”
The Saudi national team had defeated its Argentine counterpart with two goals once morest a goal scored by the star of the national team, Lionel Messi, from a penalty kick at the start of the match.
Muhammad Saud introduces himself on his Twitter account as a “peace activist”, and previously published a picture shaking hands with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. His name became famous following his visit to Israel in 2019 and his continuous calls for the normalization of relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Israel.
