(Archyde.com) – Manchester United are considering selling the club to their owners, the Glazer family said on Monday.

The Glazer family is in the process of working with financial advisors. It might lead to a partial sale of the club or investment in the redevelopment of the stadium and infrastructure. Manchester United also announced the departure of Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Glaser family bought Manchester United 17 years ago. But the team has been away from winning the title for the past five years. In 2017, they won the Europa League (EL) and the League Cup.

British billionaire Jim Ratcliffe expressed interest in buying Manchester United in August.
