AMD lowers prices on latest processors – now the cheapest Ryzen 7000 costs $249

AMD has slashed the prices of its latest Ryzen 7000 Zen 4 desktop processors in its official online store. A few days earlier, the largest European and American retailers announced the sale of chips at significant discounts. Then it was assumed that we were talking regarding lowering prices within the framework of shares for Black Friday. Apparently, now the prices of the chips have been reduced by AMD itself on a permanent basis.

The flagship 16-core model Ryzen 9 7950X fell the most. Now it is offered by AMD itself for $574, which is $125 less than the original price ($699). This is a very significant discount for a processor that went on sale less than two months ago. Other processors of the new series have also fallen in price, and the most affordable chip for Socket AM5 currently costs $ 249 – that’s how much they ask for a six-core Ryzen 5 7600X.

Manufacturers usually don’t cut prices on their new products so soon following they’re launched. Apparently, AMD is facing lower than expected demand for new processors. This can probably be over-explained. high cost new Socket AM5 motherboards that are required for their operation.

According to the VideoCardz portal, there is no shortage of new AMD chips. All four Ryzen 7000 processor models are available in large quantities at all verified retailers. It seems that AMD is trying to increase interest in their new products until Intel releases lower Raptor Lake models with a locked multiplier (without the “K” suffix in the name).
