“Support for vaccine victims and transparent disclosure of side effects”

Since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19), more than 14,000 reports of vaccine adverse reactions have been received in Ulsan, and 10 cases have been recognized as official vaccine adverse reactions.

The Corona 19 Vaccine Victims Families Council (hereinfollowing referred to as Kobaekhoe) visited Ulsan City on the 22nd, held a meeting, and delivered a letter requesting support for vaccine victims.

They requested a △ Ulsan city-level apology to the victims and bereaved families △ transparent disclosure of information on vaccine side effects △ installation of a center dedicated to vaccine adverse reactions and designation of a treatment hospital △ support for legal counseling and litigation expenses.

According to the data received by Kobaekhoe through a request for disclosure of information from the city of Ulsan, as of July 5 of this year, 14,087 reports have been made of adverse vaccine reactions in Ulsan. Among them, there were 13,898 general adverse reactions, and 189 serious adverse reactions, including 20 suspected anaphylaxis, 1 death, and 48 major adverse reactions. The number of cases recognized as due to double vaccination was 10, including 8 major adverse reactions and 2 suspected anaphylaxis.

Kobaekhoe complained that the damage was not being recovered in time because the causality of the vaccine and the adverse reaction was not recognized. According to the case they revealed, a man in his 50s in Ulsan who received the 2nd Pfizer vaccine collapsed at work, and as a result of a general hospital examination, the hippocampus part of the brain was disturbed with the vaccine, so he might not remember the short and long term.

They also urged, “Ulsan City does not provide proper manuals and procedures, so families are running around the National Assembly and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.” Reporter Cha Hyeong-seok
