Kuwait population 4.4 million; 65% foreigners in the country

Kuwait’s population has crossed 4.4 million. A slight increase has been recorded in the number of natives. The total population of Kuwait is 44,64,000 as per Civil Information. Out of this, 15 lakh are natives and 29.5 lakh are foreigners.

The ratio of the population is 35 percent natives and 65 percent foreigners. The foreign population has decreased in the past two years, but foreigners still constitute the majority of the population. More than 10 lakh foreigners are Indians.

Farwaniya Governorate is the most densely populated region in the country. According to Civil Information, more than 11 lakh people, including natives and non-residents, live here. Ahmadi Governorate is second in terms of population density and Hawalli is third.

Meanwhile, the report released by Kuwait Finance House pointed out that the average rent of apartments in the country is increasing. According to the report, in the second quarter of the financial year, apartment rent increased by 1.4 percent to 326 dinars and private house rent increased by 5.3 percent to 583 dinars.
