Taking advantage of a technology that had already been put to use in some of its televisions, LG Display engineers have developed new speakers with a… unusual shape. ¿Que por why are they so fine? Well, because LG plans to bring them inside our cars.
These “invisible” speakers, as LG has labeled them, do not work like a standard speaker.with their usual cones, coils and magnets, but use a vibration generator what produces the sound by vibrating the panels and distinct materials that are inside of own vehicle.
The panel of LG has a thickness of only 2.5 millimeters, a weight of 40 grams and very small dimensions (150 x 90 mm), that will allow install these speakers in unusual places, such as in the instrument panel, ceiling or seat headrest. According to LG Display calculations, its panel have the 30th% of the weight and 10% of grosor than a car speaker conventional.
Best of all, this system will allow a “immersive sound experience Rich and immersive 3D”, according to LG. The company also ensures that its new system will not imply do nothingguna concession in terms of sound quality.
“Through our cutting-edge technology that leverages green space and design innovation, we have successfully found a way to provide our consumers with a rich, vivid sound experience without the use of large, heavy conventional speakers.” said Yeo Chun-ho, Vice President and Head of Business Development Division of LG Display.
