Man Shot to Death While Driving in the Bronx – NBC New York (47)

NEW YORK — The New York City Police Department launched an investigation Monday following a man was fatally shot in the Bronx.

The incident took place at approximately 4:50 p.m. when police responded to a 911 call outside of 2891 Sedgwick Ave.

According to authorities, the 29-year-old victim was at 70 Major Deegan North in a black Toyota Camry when an unidentified individual shot him once in the back.

After the shooting, the victim drove the vehicle near 2891 Sedgwick Ave., where it struck several parked cars and flipped her vehicle, police said.

The 29-year-old man was transported to New York Presbyterian Allen Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

There are no arrests and the identity of the deceased man is pending notification to the family.
