Kanthapuram AP Muhammad Musliar was the first and foremost disciple of Kanthapuram AP Abu Bakar Musliar. There were great similarities between the two in terms of elocution and vocal nature. It is this resemblance that has led people to call him the ‘Little AP Ustad’. As he conducted dars for three and a half decades at the Juma Masjid in Kanthapuram, the place also became associated with the name.
Later, in 2007, it was Muhammad Musliar who started serving as the senior mudaris of Markus and taught the famous book Sahih al-Bukhari to the students in the absence of Kanthapuram. He has held many positions in religious, social and organizational fields and has made his mark in issuing Islamic religious laws (Fatwas), writing and lecturing. He approached everyone with a smile and was agreeable to all people irrespective of the organization.
