The neonate was regarding 38 weeks gestation.
The authorities found the body of a 33-year-old woman in her home, next to her was that of her newborn baby.
The finding caused a commotion in the Colombia sector, Socorro municipality of Guárico state.
According to the information provided by the Criminal, Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps (Cicpc), the female was lying on the floor completely naked, while the lifeless body of the baby was in the toilet. Near the scene was a pair of scissors, with which they presume that it was used to cut the umbilical cord.
Until now, no further details of the case are known, reported El Periódico de Monagas.
