Rishi Sunak visited Kyiv; Offer more help

Kyiv ∙ British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, who visited Kyiv, said that all aid to Ukraine will continue and that it will provide a new air defense system necessary to destroy Russian drones. Sunak also promised emergency aid of £5 crore (Rs 485 crore). Sunak held talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

At the same time, the Pentagon assessed that Russia had increased missile attacks aimed at destroying Ukraine’s air defenses. US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has given permission for more air defense assistance.

A week following the withdrawal of the Russian forces, the refugees from Kherson began to return. Authorities are working hard to remove landmines. Efforts are also underway to restore electricity and water supply. The city of Harsan, which had 3 lakh people, now has only regarding 80,000 people.
