Kochi: CPI state secretary Kanam Rajendran has said that neither the government nor the Left Front has taken any political decision to stop the Silver Line project. The LDF meeting was also held at the beginning of this month. Kanam also clarified that it was not decided to stop the Silver Line project in that meeting or following that.
The problem with the Silver Line is not agitation. In order to implement such a big project, the approval of the central government is required. Efforts are being made for that. In reply to the question, Kanam said that the Revenue Department has not issued an order to withdraw the officials appointed for the project.
Kanam Rajendran also stated that all the parties in LDF have taken a decision in favor of the project.
