Power generation rose 1.3 percent year-on-year to 661 billion kWh in October, official data showed.
The growth reversed September’s 0.4 percent year-on-year decline, the State Bureau of Statistics said.
More specifically, wind and solar energy production recorded rapid growth during the period, increasing by 19.2% and 24.7% respectively, compared to the previous year.
Thermal power generation rose 3.2% year-on-year, down 2.9 percentage points from the previous month, while nuclear power generation rose 7.4% year-on-year annual, once morest a fall of 2.7% in September.
Hydroelectricity production, on the other hand, fell by 17.7% year-on-year in October.
China’s power generation stood at 7 trillion kWh in the first ten months, a year-on-year increase of 2.2 percent, the data showed.
