Al-Marsad newspaper: Nutrition consultant Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Othman said that boiling ginger in water loses its health benefits, explaining that the best way to eat it is to be grated and added to salads and cold foods because it contains antioxidants and volatile substances that are lost with high temperatures.

He added, during an intervention with the news channel, that ginger is a medicinal substance, and exceeding more than one tablespoon may expose a person to problems in the digestive system.

Al-Othman explained that the permissible daily amount is 1 gram for dried ginger and 4-5 grams for fresh ginger.
