The court’s question to the Devaswom Board was what action was taken once morest the company as the area that includes Sabarimala is a Special Security Zone. The court blamed why no action was taken even following knowing regarding the incident. The Heli Kerala company informed the court that it will not take further action on the advertisement. But the court replied that they should face police action. The central government took a position in the court that the incident was a serious matter. The Center informed that the position of the Ministry of Environment should be sought as it includes protected forest area. The central government has informed the court that it needs more time to reply.
What authority does Sabarimala have to offer VIP darshan, the court asked. The court pointed out that there is a court order to prevent even illegal vehicles from entering and this affects security. Yesterday, when the court took up the matter, the Devaswom Board informed that the advertisement was not given knowingly. The court also asked the Center whether the service is being operated with the permission of the Union Ministry of Aviation.
The Heli Kerala Company had advertised through its website that it was running two services from Kochi to Sabarimala. The company’s offer was car service from Nilakkal to Pampa, dolly service from there and VIP darshan at Sabarimala. The Devaswom Bench of the High Court took notice of the company’s illegal advertisement when even private vehicles were not allowed and immediately intervened in the matter. The case was adjourned for hearing on Monday.
