For owners of old cars.. 7 conditions for obtaining “Arabia Zero” with easy interest

allowed Ministry of FinanceFor citizens in 15 governorates, benefit from the initiative Replacing obsolete vehicles which have been manufactured for 20 years or more, with new cars that run on natural gas with easy interest, and an insurance policy on the car at a reduced price, and the Ministry has set 7 general conditions for participating in the initiative to replace obsolete vehicles to run on natural gas, which are:

1- The applicant must be of Egyptian nationality.

2- The age of the applicant should not be less than 21 years and without a maximum age limit (in the case of cash payment).

3- The age of the applicant should not be less than 21 years and a maximum of 65 years (in the case of paying in installments).

4- The car must have been manufactured for 20 years or more.

5- The car license belongs to one of the governorates of Cairo, Giza, Qalyubia, Alexandria, Port Said, Suez, the Red Sea, Luxor, Aswan, Sharm El-Sheikh, Ismailia, Sharkia, Beheira, Beni Suef and Sohag.

6- The car license must be in the name of the applicant “with regard to taxis.”

7- The car license must be in the name of its owner two years ago, at the time of subscription, “with regard to private cars.”

It is noteworthy that 42,000 applications were submitted on the initiative’s website, 24,000 old cars, including “owners”, “taxi” and “microbus”, were scrapped, and the state’s public treasury borne more than 590 million pounds, the value of the “green stimulus”.

The initiative contributes to the reduction of fuel subsidies, by modernizing the fleet of old cars that consume many liters of fuel while operating them with other cars that consume fewer liters, and thus reduce fuel quantities, which results in reducing subsidies for this item, reducing air pollution, as well as harmful carbon emissions. And the consequent mitigation of diseases resulting from that pollution, in addition to increasing the security and safety of roads as a result of the old cars out of service that used to cause accidents.
