According TheGamerPETA wants God of War Ragnarök has a “PETA mode” to avoid the violence once morest the animals that Kratos and Atreus encounter on their journey through the Nine Realms.
Throughout the adventure, Kratos battles many animals, including a large bear fairly early in the game. Although most of the creatures are mythical, their deaths are still violent and quite graphic.

There is, however, a creature that has largely challenged PETA and it is Garm, a boss major in history. We meet the giant wolf during our first visit to Helheim. The latter has been chained in the cold for a very long time, without food or water at his disposal.
The state Garm is in does not suit PETA at all.
The Animal Rights Association is urging players to ask SIE Santa Monica Studio for a “PETA mode” that players might activate to “beat” Garm without having to harm him. “All dogs deserve loving homes and warm couches, even if they are 60ft. If you’re cold, they’re cold,” the video reads.
However, not everything is negative and anyone who has beaten Garm knows that his story has a positive ending.
