Mumbai: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and former Madhya Pradesh chief minister and Congress state president Kamal Nath received death threats. On the day Bharat Jodo Yatra enters Indore, both of them are threatened to be killed by bomb blast.
The news agency reports that the letter mentions the 1984 anti-Sikh riots and mentions that Rahul faces the same fate as his father Rajiv Gandhi. The letter arrived by post at a sweet shop in Indore. The shopkeeper handed over the letter to the police.
K. K. Mishra, head of the state media department of the Congress, demanded that one more member of the family who gave his life for the country is facing a threat and that the Central Home Department should take the matter seriously. Mishra also said that Kamal Nath directly met Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and asked for security for the Jodo yatra.
