Ambassador Bassam Rady, spokesperson for the Presidency of the Republic, stated that the president’s tour included his inspection of the development work of the Gamal Abdel Nasser Corridor, which is one of the most vital arteries in New Cairo and east Cairo, extending to the New Administrative Capital, and is considered one of the axes with high traffic density that serves many Citizens, as it transports movement between the entrance of the Ring Road to the entrance of the New Administrative Capital from the Mohammed bin Zayed axis, which represents an alternative to the northern and southern ninety axes, as it intersects with a number of other main and important axes such as the Talaat Harb axis, the Muhammad Najeeb axis, the island axis and the transit axis. .
The official spokesman added that the length of the Gamal Abdel Nasser axis is regarding 11 km and a width of regarding 45 meters, with a total of 6 lanes in each direction following the development, which will also include solving the problems of direct intersections so that the axis is freed and replaced by 5 bridges.
