However, it is the Eastern Townships that should receive the most snow, according to Jean-Philippe Bégin, meteorologist at Environment Canada. Between 10 and 20 centimeters are expected there, “and we might exceed twenty on high ground,” he said in an interview with the QMI Agency.

This first broadside for the south of the province arrives “a little earlier”, indicated the meteorologist who underlines however that this “is nothing exceptional”. For Montreal, for example, the average date for the first snowfall is November 27.

On the temperature side, they are “slightly below normal for the season, between two and four degrees below”, added Mr. Bégin.

During the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, the mercury should drop to -5°C in Quebec with a wind chill index of nearly -10. During the day Wednesday, temperatures will fluctuate between -1°C and -2°C with a wind chill index of -8

The situation will be similar in Montreal where it will be -2°C overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday with a wind chill index of -8. On Wednesday, the mercury will show between 1°C and -1°C, with a feeling of -8.
