ABU DHABI, 16th November, WAM / His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, today visited the pavilion of the Emirates News Agency, WAM, at the World Media Congress Exhibition, which was launched under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court. It will be held until November 17 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan praised the level of organization of the World Media Congress, which reflects the UAE’s leading position globally in shaping the future for various sectors and fields, especially the media, in addition to its role in strengthening media companies, which contributes to creating a reliable and sustainable international media model.
His Excellency expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Supreme Organizing Committee of the World Media Congress in its first session, which is witnessing a wide momentum in terms of qualitative sessions and the number of attendees and participants, which consolidates the position of Abu Dhabi and the UAE as a leading global platform for shaping the future of media in the region and the world to advance the process of sustainable development in the world.
His Excellency listened to an explanation by His Excellency Mohammed Jalal Al Raisi, Director General of the Emirates News Agency, WAM, and Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee of the World Media Congress, regarding the Emirates News Agency, WAM, and learned regarding the various digital media services provided by WAM to its partners inside the country and around the world.
His Excellency was briefed on the advanced technologies offered by the “WAM” pavilion in terms of advanced technologies that keep pace with the media of the future, including the “WAM” headquarters in the “Wamverse” metaverse, in addition to the digital “WAM News” system that is equipped with the latest artificial intelligence and advanced technology and relies on managing media work in innovative software ways. He was also briefed on the multiple “WAM” languages, which reach 19 languages, and in which news is broadcast from the UAE to the world, to provide an advanced and sustainable media model capable of conveying the UAE’s civilizational, developmental and humanitarian message to the world.
It is worth noting that the Global Media Congress Exhibition, organized by the ADNEC Group in partnership with the Emirates News Agency, WAM, is one of the main events of the Congress, which provides the perfect opportunity for various commercial entities from all over the region to meet, exchange experiences and carry out their activities, as it attracts local, regional and international attention.
