ABU DHABI, 16th November / WAM / Her Excellency Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Vice President and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council, Director General of the Media Office of the Government of Dubai, said that the people of the United Arab Emirates enjoy a future government and a leadership that looks forward to the future. Since the establishment of the Emirates until today, pointing out that all initiatives in all sectors, including the media, are proactive and have an impact on the current time and extend to future generations.
Her Excellency explained – in an exclusive interview with the Emirates News Agency, WAM, on the sidelines of her participation in the activities of the World Media Congress in Abu Dhabi – that the World Media Congress is a successful step that emphasizes integration within the UAE, and a platform for building new partnerships and bringing points of view between Arab and international media closer together. On the organization and the rich diversity of the sector from supporting investment and small and medium companies operating in the field, as well as providing research and studies, in addition to the various discussion sessions that discuss regional media and government communication, all the way to the innovation laboratory.
She added that the media sector is one of the most important main engines within the country’s economic and development strategy and vision, which keeps pace with that rapid development movement through young competencies in the sector and creative media talents, pointing to the provision of all forms of support such as training, infrastructure and educational means, in addition to initiatives to motivate young people to Provide good and creative content.
She emphasized that the Emirates News Agency had a positive, constructive and effective role throughout its media career, as usual, and today it was distinguished in a way that exceeds expectations, and something we are proud of as media professionals and Emiratis, pointing out that the World Media Congress constitutes a unique opportunity to motivate young people to view the various platforms.
She pointed out that the Arab media faces many challenges, and needs solidarity and integration in a clear way that anticipates the future, stressing that the UAE government has created the building block to find Emirati and Arab cadres who lead this important and vital sector, and that the UAE has always provided all support in the Arab media sector, not only the local ones. Through technological support and digital transformation.
The Director General of the Dubai Government Media Office stated that the UAE has become a model for spreading knowledge and exchanging experiences, which is important in the Arab region and extends to the countries of the world, as the country always seeks progress and prosperity within the global race.
