Cristiano Ronaldo declares war on Manchester United in an interview with the sulphate: ‘I feel betrayed, I have been made a black sheep’

Cristiano Ronaldo gave an interview that will make a lot of noise in England and not only! The Portuguese Manchester United player waited for the start of the international break to give an interview to Piers Morgan, journalist at “The Sun Football”. He declares there to feel “betrayed”, by Erik Ten Hag but not only. He explains that some people didn’t want him when he returned to Manchester United last season. He also shares his impression that no progress, no change has been made in the Mancunian infrastructure between his two stints in the club, more than ten years apart.

They pushed you out? “Yes, not just the coach, but two or three other guys from the club.”

He attacks Erik Ten Hag head-on: “I have no respect for him because he has no respect for me. If you don’t respect me, I’ll never respect you.”

The player didn’t feel totally welcome when he returned to his former club: “Maybe I shouldn’t say that. I don’t know but I don’t care because I think people have a right to know the truth. So yes, I felt betrayed. And I felt that many people didn’t want me here. Not only this year but already last year.”

Cristiano draws up an observation without language of wood on the evolution of the club: “I don’t know what’s going on at the club, but since Sir Alex Ferguson left I haven’t seen the slightest development at the club. He knows that better than anyone in the club. […] There has been zero progress. Neither in the gym, nor in the kitchen, nor even the cook, who is also a lovely person that I really appreciate. But between my two visits to Manchester, it’s as if time had stopped. It really surprised me to see all these things that were already there when I was 20 ! I think the fans have a right to know. I want the best for the club. This is the reason I came to Manchester United.”

This lack of development would affect the level of the team, according to CR7: “All these things don’t help us reach the top level like City, Liverpool or even Arsenal now. A club of this size should be in the top 3 !”

He also turns on Ralf Rangnick, former Manchester coach (2021-2022) whose arrival at ManU he says totally surprised him.

Wayne Rooney goes there too. His former team-mate during the good years in Mancun has been very critical of Ronaldo lately, which did not please the Portuguese: “I don’t know why he criticizes me so much. Probably because he retired that I still play at the highest level. […] I’m not going to say that I look better than him, but it’s true.

Cristiano Ronaldo is undoubtedly already looking for a new club following this interview! He has been regularly cited at Chelsea lately.
