I love Miyavix’s anti-glare type “OverLay Plus” as a screen protection film for my smartphone. A variation called “OverLay Plus Lite” for high-definition LCD has been added to this OverLay Plus for some time.
I was wondering what it was like, so I bought it at the opportunity to replace the film.
Difference between OverLay Plus and OverLay Plus Lite
OverLay Plus is a protective film that adds anti-glare (low-reflection) treatment to the surface of the sheet to reduce the reflection of fluorescent lights and sunlight on the screen, making the screen easier to see even when used outdoors.
On the other hand, OverLay Plus Lite has a mild degree of anti-glare. The function to prevent reflection is slightly reduced, and instead, it is a specification that does not generate glare even on high-definition displays.
The regular version is superior in terms of anti-reflection performance, and the Lite version is superior in terms of color reproducibility.
I actually bought
I actually purchased OverLay Plus Lite for Pixel 6a. The contents are the same as the others… The wipes are a wet and dry set.
In addition, for those who are not confident in pasting, there is also information on pasting free service. I am a veteran (conceited) who has pasted dozens of times so far, so I will paste it myself. But if you want to put a tablet sheet on it, I would definitely like to ask.
At first glance, it doesn’t look like there is that much of a difference.
The Pixel 6 on the left has a regular OverLay Plus, and the Pixel 6a on the right has an OverLay Plus Lite.
When you look at the image like this, you can’t really tell the difference, but when you look at it with the naked eye, the Lite version looks like the reflected image has a relatively clear outline.
For terminals with a high-gloss glass film attached. You can clearly see the lighting.
For Pixel 6 with OverLay Plus. Lighting contours are blurred.
For Pixel 6a with OverLay Plus Lite. It blurs like the light spreads across the screen.
The left and right are reversed from before, but you can see the difference when you put them side by side.
In terms of the difference in color, well… I feel like it’s strange, but it’s at a level that doesn’t bother me too much. (due to differences in screen brightness)
summary
I think that there are preferences such as the degree of reflection. In my case, I didn’t like the reflection of the lighting in the room, so how regarding Lite? I thought, but when I actually compared it, I liked Lite better. Since the price will not change, I will purchase the Lite version in the future.
OverLay Plus Lite is recommended.
