RTBF has acquired the rights to the next Women’s Football World Cup. It will take place in Australia and New Zealand from July 20 to August 20, 2023. 64 matches will be broadcast.
“The acquisition of the broadcasting rights for the next Women’s World Cup is excellent news for RTBF and even more so for football fans.“, rejoices Benoît Delhauteur, Head of Sports at RTBF. “Naturally, it’s a pity that the Red Flames did not manage to qualify: sportingly, they had their place in this tournament. But that won’t stop us from continuing to support women’s football, exposing it as much as possible. It will be a source of great pride for RTBF to be able to broadcast the 64 matches of this competition live and to offer them free of charge to our audience.“
