Hmayak Hakobyan faced many difficulties.
Three decades ago it was difficult to find a viewer who would not know the name of Hmayak Hakobyan. The illusionist and circus performer played the role of magicians in the cinema, led “Good night, kids!” and was considered the main sorcerer of the USSR. For the first time, he received a magical role back in 1974 in the film The Big Attraction.
But in 2008, Hakobyan disappeared from the screens: he stopped acting and taking part in talk shows. At first he performed with his own performances, but then he had to take a break in his career. It turned out that a terrible tragedy changed his life. Two years ago, Amayak lost his mother.
Liya Ivanovna was an assistant to her husband, a manipulative magician, and following his death in 2005 she was engaged in opera singing. The loss of his mother had a strong impact on Hakobyan, because they were very close. He lost the ground under his feet, and his wife had to hide at home those items with which he might harm himself. While the magician cannot imagine how he will go on stage and start joking and entertaining the audience.
