The emergencies are overflowing, however, it is approximately 1 in 5 customers of the Frontline Access Counter (GAP) who do not show up for their appointment, according to Dr. Daher.

In April, “the statistics were worse, but now we stagnate between 18 and 20% of patients who do not show up,” he says.
The GAP, still unknown to the population, might help, but what is needed above all, says Dr. Judy Morris, is “to inject a lot of personnel throughout the network, in long-term care”.
Currently, health personnel are overworked.
“Humanly, it is no longer possible to accept other patients. We are already at full capacity and today I accepted 8 more patients. Several doctors do the same thing,” says Dr. Daher.
