shardul thakur, delhi capitals set to release shardul thakur ahead of ipl auction reports

The last date for teams to release their players ahead of the Indian Premier League star auction for the 2023 season is 15th of next month. It is reported that all the franchises have a rough agreement on who to drop from the team. Meanwhile, hints have come out regarding who are the players who are likely to avoid Delhi Capitals.

Star all-rounder Shardul Thakur, who is currently one of the main players of the Indian team, is the main player who is set to be released from the Delhi Capitals team. Cricbus released this information yesterday evening. Shardul Thakur is the player who bought Delhi Capitals for Rs 10.75 crore in the last IPL star auction. But the star was not in the season to show the game for the money received.

Thakur’s 120 runs and 15 wickets from 14 matches in IPL 2022 season. Shardul, who was unstinting in scoring runs, had little to contribute to the team’s good performance.

According to reports, Delhi Capitals have plans to release Thakur from the team and buy him from the auction for a lower price. Along with Thakur, wicket-keeper batsman KS Bharat and Indian batsman Mandeep Singh will also be left out by Delhi. With captain Rishabh Pant, chances of KS Bharat getting a chance in the playing eleven are slim. So Bharat, who is currently one of the best wicket-keepers in the country, is also better off leaving Delhi. Mandeep Singh, on the other hand, had a miserable performance last season. This is why the star has to go out.
