Good deal – The Nacon Pro Compact White gamepad at €31.90 (-29%)

Already offered in a PlayStation 4 version, Nacon’s compact wired controller is coming to Xbox, for both One and Series X et S or from the PC. A gamepad that stands out for its small size and configurable functions.

Despite a price positioning dangerously close to that of the excellent official Xbox Series controller, the Nacon Pro Compact manages to hold its own by addressing small hands in particular. On the other hand, you have to make do with only wired operation, which affects the convenience of use as well as the quality/price ratio.

Points forts

  • Interesting compactness for small hands.
  • Lightness.
  • Easy to use configuration software.
  • A custom profile in internal memory.
  • Access to Dolby Atmos processing when using the headphone output of the controller.

Weak points

  • Wired operation only.
  • Big hands, abstain.
  • Controls generally less successful than those of the official controller.

NB: The reported price drop is calculated by comparing the lowest price of the day with the average of the lowest prices charged by all merchants for the product last month, with security rules to exclude prices from shops whose the VAT policy is not clear (known as “grey” shops, typically in the case of imports from China).

An alternative

Pleasant in hand despite a lower manufacturing quality than the official controllers, the Diswoe wireless controller for Nintendo Switch does not however manage to match a Switch Pro controller in terms of precision and comfort of use. It will nevertheless be suitable for troubleshooting and playing with several people occasionally at a lower cost.
