The Academy of Participatory Finance (APAF) and the communication and event company GMS Media are organizing a Symposium of exhibitions and conferences on participatory finance from January 19 to 21, 2023 in Casablanca. An event that shines the spotlight on a booming sector. Indeed, note the organizers, the nine participating banks and windows totaled nearly 25 billion DH in total balance sheet in the first half of 2022, an increase of more than 32%, and posted a GNP of more than 700 MDH. The number of accounts reached 151,000, spread over 176 branches. “The recently created “Takaful” insurance companies benefit from an advanced regulatory system and announce an interesting breakthrough thanks to the market acquired to cover bank financing already granted since 2017, and to savings and building insurance products, which are now operational,” they noted. Added to this is the arrival of the regulatory texts of “Sukuk Moucharaka”, “Wakala” and “Moudaraba”, which complete “Sukuk Ijara” already operational since 2018.

Partnerships have been signed or are being finalized with national and international institutions, in particular, the Superior Council of Ulemas, the Moroccan Foundation for Financial Education (Bank Al-Maghrib), ICD, member of the Islamic Development Bank Group , the International Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, National and International Consulting and Audit Offices, SS2I (NT Soft, HPS, S2M), The National Federation of Real Estate Developers, National Press Support and international, as well as the Chaine Mohammed 6 and the Chaine Iqraa.
The Symposium also hosts a Forum for exchanges and international Benchmarking of Participatory Finance markets, which will cover the Malaysian and Turkish experiences, as well as the Jordanian, Saudi and Emirati experiences, in terms of the market for banks and participatory financial institutions. The Symposium will also host BtoC and BtoB business meetings, bringing together selected individuals, SS2Is and financial market providers.
