DUBAI, 20th October / WAM / The Dubai Public Prosecution revealed the number of criminal cases resumed during the first nine months of 2022, which reflected the momentum of judicial work in the Public Prosecution, the speed of litigation and the facilitation of appeal procedures.
The Public Prosecution indicated that the number of these cases amounted to 6,025 cases, including 2,146 appeals that were reported by members of the Public Prosecution, which included 1,922 appeals during the first half of this year, while 224 appeals were added to them during the third quarter, while the average rate of appealed cases was regarding 238 appeals per month.
Counselor Tariq Ahmed Al Balushi, Chief Prosecutor, pointed out that the numbers and statistics related to the number of appeals once morest penal judgments in the Emirate of Dubai reveal in reality the extent of the quality of judicial rulings and the efficiency of the litigation system in the Emirate of Dubai, which guarantees to dealers equality, impartiality and integrity before the judiciary.
He noted that these numbers and statistics also reveal the extent of the accuracy and clarity of judicial rulings and investigations in the emirate, which is positively reflected on the customers’ satisfaction and their confidence in the courts and the public prosecution, in line with the strategic plans of the Emirate of Dubai and achieving the visions of its leaders.
