She was taken to the hospital under threat and under a false name

While the repercussions of the singer Sherine Abdel Wahab’s crisis are still preoccupying Egyptians, the head of the Syndicate of Musical Professions in Egypt, artist Mostafa Kamel, revealed new details regarding her detention in a mental health hospital.

Kamel said in his statements on the sidelines of his meeting with the Actors Syndicate, the artist Ashraf Zaki, yesterday, Wednesday, that he received a call from one of his friends who was present with the freed singer Sherine Hossam Habib and told him that she was kidnapped at gunpoint, and was taken once morest her will to the hospital under a pseudonym.

He pointed out that he knew what happened to the owner of “Oh, Night” at midnight on Saturday, October 15, pointing out that “he immediately spoke with one of the officials of the Ministry of Interior, who informed him of the situation in detail, explaining that they were aware of the matter five days before it spread.”

The Musicians Syndicate’s captain continued by saying that the security official indicated that the beloved singer tried to write a report on the incident, but his request was rejected because he is not legally one of Sherine’s family.

Kamel added that he felt embarrassed at the time, because he was also not one of her family, but he still insisted on supporting her as a colleague, friend and captain of musicians.

Sherine’s crisis

The artist, Sherine Abdel Wahab, raised a state of controversy over the past week, following she was exposed to a major crisis and entered a psychiatric clinic in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.

The crisis began with an official communication submitted by the lawyer of the Egyptian artist, accusing her brother of assaulting her severely and holding her in a hospital once morest her will because of her desire to return to her ex-husband, Hossam Habib, who quickly retracted and abandoned him following learning that her brother had admitted her to the psychiatric hospital to treat her addiction.

On their part, Sherine’s brother and her mother called everyone to save her from her ex-hussam Habib and producer Sarah El-Tabbakh, as they were inciting her to use drugs.
