A total of 13 people from Yilan University, including professor Chen surnamed Chen, friends surnamed Lin, and 11 students, went to Yuanyang Lake on the 15th to conduct research and survey in the Baling area of ​​Fuxing District, Taoyuan City. The police and firefighters pushed forward the rescue yesterday from Mingchi Villa and 0 kilometers of the 100-line forest road respectively. When they reached the 5 kilometers of the 100-line forest road, they encountered the foundation loss. After passing through the ropes, they advanced to 6.1 kilometers before encountering a large-scale collapse. Because the sky was dark , the search and rescue personnel suspended search and rescue operations.

This morning, 5 policemen advanced from the entrance of the 100-line forest road. At regarding 10 am, at 5.5 kilometers of the 100-line forest road, they successfully contacted the teachers and students of Yi. The department joined the firefighters and arrived at Mingchi Villa at 12:30 noon. The school has dispatched a medium-sized bus to Baling to pick up the teachers and students.

In addition, the Yilan County Government stated that in addition to 13 people from Yilan University, 10 employees of Mingchi Villa will stay behind, and the rest of the people are expected to be evacuated today.
