Alpine F1 Team driver Esteban Ocon delivered the Ballon d’Or trophy to the awards ceremony in Paris on 17 October.
The Ballon d’Or is one of the most prestigious trophies a footballer can win, and on Monday the honor went to Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema.
Alpine is a partner in the Ballon d’Or, with Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon competing in 2021 and Lionel Messi winning the award for the seventh time.
On the occasion of 2022, Esteban Ocon carried the trophy to the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris in a V8-spec F1 car decorated in Alpine colours.
Esteban Ocon wasn’t the only F1 driver to attend the ceremony, as was his 2023 teammate Pierre Gasly, along with Alpine CEO Laurent Rossi.
The Alpine F1 Team returns to action at this weekend’s F1 United States Grand Prix to further strengthen its fourth place position in the Constructors’ Championship.
