At 0:45 a.m. on July 21, last year, Gimhae Express Bus Terminal in Gyeongsangnam-do.

Two men in white and black t-shirts appear on the empty bus platform.

If you look closely at the white man’s right hand, you can see he is holding a black bag.

The man, who was looking around, checked the departure time posted on the windshield of the bus and went to the driver’s lounge in the corner.

Six minutes later, the bus driver, who does not know English, loads the bag handed to him by the man on the express bus.

The express bus departed from Gimhae at 1 am and arrived at the Gangnam Express Bus Terminal in Seoul at 5:15 am.

Then another man in a white t-shirt and jeans appears and slowly disappears with the bag in question.

What was in the bag was methamphetamine, a representative drug.

Why did they use the old ‘Express Bus Baggage Service’?

After opening a cannon phone and using a high-tech messenger…Why are you loading luggage on the bus?

Recently, drug distribution methods are becoming similar to those of voice phishing organizations.

The reason voice phishing uses ‘box locker’ or ‘collection book part-timer’ is to complicate the intermediate stage and disturb the investigation, while also preventing them from being arrested even if they are caught and give up their profits.

Drug trafficking shows a similar trend, police explain.

Nearly 100% of drug offenders arrested recently use the ‘throw’ technique.

It is a method of opening a Telegram account with a cannon phone or a prepaid phone and contacting each other, leaving drugs in a specific place, such as an alley or under a tree in advance, so that buyers can visit them.

The problem is that the ‘throw’ technique is widely known, so citizens often report suspicious behavior or white powder before the buyer arrives.

If one of the sellers or buyers is caught, there is also the risk that the other will be easily caught through CCTV analysis.

As a result, it is said that the bus luggage delivery service is a secret that complicates the distribution stage and does not reveal the identity.

When delivering luggage by midnight bus, we often accept ‘cash-on-the-fly’ shipments.

Therefore, the suspects judged that it was suitable for carrying bags at a low price without exposing personal information like mail or courier, and at the same time evading investigative agencies.

However, following more than a year of investigation, all the drug dealers, as well as those who entrusted the parcel, were identified.

Although it is a different case, a man in his 30s who was trying to find ‘ketamine’ packaged as baby food at the courier service center of the Gangnam Express Bus Terminal was also arrested by customs officials.

Police seize methamphetamine that can be administered 12,000 times

The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s drug crime investigation team traced back the distribution channels of methamphetamine in Korea from August last year to September this year.

As a result, 69 people were arrested, including 21 people selling methamphetamine and 48 people who bought and administered methamphetamine from them, and 12 of them were arrested on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act.

They also confiscated 20 million won from criminal proceeds as well as enough methamphetamine to be administered 12,000 times.

The police wanted two executives who fled among the sales books, and one of them, who fled abroad, requested a red wanted from Interpol.
