More than a thousand towns and villages in Ukraine remain without electricity following massive Russian attacks in recent days, according to Ukrainian officials.

Emergency services spokesman Oleksandr Khorunzhyi said that more than 70 people they died in rocket and drone attacks since October 7.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the 30% of power plants of the country were destroyed in the last eight days.

Parts of the capital Kyiv are without electricity and water following fresh attacks on Tuesday.
